Dear Bumi Matha,
At the start of the second year and fourth month of my life, I completely stopped using diapers and Amma bought me my first leopard undies.
A few days later, Rita Attai bought me two Dalmation undies, and now I know that I am a ‘big’ boy!

Sakkti Velan's first hospitalisation
On the 27th of October, I was hospitalized for food poisoning.
I’m not sure what I ate, and nor was Amma, but the doctor put me on drips for four long hours. Amma was so proud of me because each time I wanted to vomit, I could tell her, and she would rush me into the toilet so I could throw up. She said not many children my age could tell when they felt like vomiting….. (beaming)
I did not cry when the doctor administered the drips, nor did I cry when he took the needle out, but I was very uncomfortable the whole time the drips were on my hands.
I kept asking Amma to take them out, but she refused. I even asked Tata and Ammama to take it out but they told me other stories to divert my attention away from it.
I couldn’t eat for two whole days after the drips, and Amma was worried sick.
But I’m okay now, so now more worries, Amma….
