Amma's Office

Dear Bumi Matha,

I love going to spend the day at Amma's office. Sometimes Eshvarhen comes along. But never Bagyashri because she's still a baby.

When we go to the office, Amma let's us watch BoboiBoy or Upin & Ipin from her PC. She also let's us play with the PlayDough. Sometimes, though, we have to do some activity hseets before all this fun.

And the best part? It's always the roti canai and teh tarik that we have before we go back home!

2012 School Concert

Dear Sakkti Velan,

Appu, you are indeed your father's son. You have the same seriousness and lack of grace when you are on stage that your father also has.

Suprisingly, your teacher had put you in a number of items. You danced the pompom ( in which only you bototm half of the body moved) for KG1 and then you were dancing with the KG2 children, doing a "Bila Larut Malam" and dancing with a girl whose name you don't even know. And then the highlight of the day, which had me in stitches no doubt, was the fact that you took part in the modelling. It was a scream!

Ammama said you probably take instrucions very well and that's why Mrs Kuna put you in so many items.

Anyway, you do us proud. We love you, son.

The Remote Control MPV!

Awesome!!!

Appa bought Thambi and me two remote cotrol MPVS....and they are awesome.

Mine is blue and red and is called PYTHON!

Thambi's is prange and is called TIGER!

Okaie....gotto to go and play with PYTHON!

Sakkti Velan is now 5!

Dear Bumi Matha,

I'm five years old today, and we're not in Malaysia. I asked Thambi to write to Bagyashri and tell her we are in Singapore and not to look for us , and I sure hope he did that.

We went to the underwater world today at Sentosa Island, and we saw pink dolphins, sharks and seals. The seal was dancing about 1m away from my leg.

We also went to the Gardens by the Bay where we ate a hearty nasi goreng.

In the evening, we cut a cake by the poolside.

Zzzz.....a bit sleepy now.....but it was a glorious birthday.......thank you Appa....thank you Amma

can't wait for the plane ride home tomorrow.....that was awesome too......

Riding the motorcycle with my Appa

Today I rode on a motorcycle with my Appa. It was Cittappa's motorcycle. Appa asked to sit in the front and put on a helmet. I also had to keep my legs in the basket.

The ride was a bit bumpy....but it was a lot breezy.

And I loved it!

Learning Mandarin

Amma enrolled me in the Mandarin classes at school this week.=(

I don't mind learning how to speak, but it's the writing that's killing me......it's so much more complicated that Tamil.

And can you believe we have Mandarin spelling!!!! OMG.........can you imagine asking a 5-year old to do Mandarin spelling......

I mean it's like OMG!

Yup...it's real though being a 5-year old and learning Mandarin. *sigh*

TAEKWONDO

Dear Bumi Matha,

I joined Takewondo class today. It was awesome.

We could kick and punch and no one scolded. You have to "HEEEEYAA" each time to emphasize on the punching effect.

I like Taekwondo. I learn the step in class and then teach it to Thambi. So maybe Thambi won't have to go for taekwondo, i can teach it to him=) yeah, sounds like  a plan.

My school vsit to the Berry factory

No Bagyashri, not to the berry ( as in fruit) factory.....Annai went to the BERRY's chocolate factory today.

We went in a big school bus and Kugan was my partner. I had to hold his hand.

We saw how they make the chocolates and Annai ate up all the chocolate before coming home so that you and Thambi won't make a mess and Amma won't scold you.

Luckily Annai's a little smart, I always think ahead.

Mathematical Addition

Dear Thambi,

I learnt a new thing called ADDITION in school today.

I take the first number and keep it in my head, and take the next number with my fingers....and then I start counting from the number in my head onwards.

Easy! Maybe I can teach this method to you once you start doing Math at school.......
