Volcanoes & Earthquakes

Dear Bumi Matha,

I am 17kg and 1.1m today.

On this day........Amma told me about volcanoes and earthquakes today. She said Appa and Amma went to a place called yogjakarta and saw the life volcano bubbling away sulphur gas!

Sounds extremely scary......and it looks scary from the book that Appa bought me!

HAMSTER on board!

Dear Bumi Matha,

Meet Kutty and Satti. Kutty is Eshvarhen's hamster and Satti is mine.


Appa got them for us so that we cna learn to look after pets.

Ahem...that is we will asssit Appa who will be assisted by Amma to look after the pet.

Whatever said, HAMSTERs on board. And they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!. They even look a bit like Bagyashri.

A day at the fruit farm

Dear Small Tiger,

I really had fun picking the lime with Eshvarhen and you. Only your Amma and Bagyashri couldn't join us because it was too hot for the little girl.

It was a good experience going on the tractor as well, wasn't it? Yeap, I had a good time, son.

The Broken Nose

Dear Bumi Matha,

I broke my nose about 3 days ago. I achieved this by falling off the bed in Attai's house and landing on my nose.

Initially, Appa iced it, but after the blue black started spreading under th eyes, Amma had to take me for an X-ray and the ENT specialist confirmed that there is a fracture.


Congratulations, Sakkti Velan. * high-five*. This is a picture of me getting my cool X-RAY!

Now we have to take another X-ray in two months to confirm that the nose has healed=)

Bagyashri on the carousel

Dear Bagyashri,

You enjoyed your carousel ride didn't you? Now you see why Eshvarhen and i are so addicted to it.

Amma's Office

Dear Bumi Matha,

I love going to spend the day at Amma's office. Sometimes Eshvarhen comes along. But never Bagyashri because she's still a baby.

When we go to the office, Amma let's us watch BoboiBoy or Upin & Ipin from her PC. She also let's us play with the PlayDough. Sometimes, though, we have to do some activity hseets before all this fun.

And the best part? It's always the roti canai and teh tarik that we have before we go back home!

2012 School Concert

Dear Sakkti Velan,

Appu, you are indeed your father's son. You have the same seriousness and lack of grace when you are on stage that your father also has.

Suprisingly, your teacher had put you in a number of items. You danced the pompom ( in which only you bototm half of the body moved) for KG1 and then you were dancing with the KG2 children, doing a "Bila Larut Malam" and dancing with a girl whose name you don't even know. And then the highlight of the day, which had me in stitches no doubt, was the fact that you took part in the modelling. It was a scream!

Ammama said you probably take instrucions very well and that's why Mrs Kuna put you in so many items.

Anyway, you do us proud. We love you, son.

The Remote Control MPV!

Awesome!!!

Appa bought Thambi and me two remote cotrol MPVS....and they are awesome.

Mine is blue and red and is called PYTHON!

Thambi's is prange and is called TIGER!

Okaie....gotto to go and play with PYTHON!

Sakkti Velan is now 5!

Dear Bumi Matha,

I'm five years old today, and we're not in Malaysia. I asked Thambi to write to Bagyashri and tell her we are in Singapore and not to look for us , and I sure hope he did that.

We went to the underwater world today at Sentosa Island, and we saw pink dolphins, sharks and seals. The seal was dancing about 1m away from my leg.

We also went to the Gardens by the Bay where we ate a hearty nasi goreng.

In the evening, we cut a cake by the poolside.

Zzzz.....a bit sleepy now.....but it was a glorious birthday.......thank you Appa....thank you Amma

can't wait for the plane ride home tomorrow.....that was awesome too......
